Diving into Fun: Capturing a Waterpark Adventure with the Insta360 Camera

Today, I'm diving into an exhilarating experience at a waterpark, but with a twist. I decided to use (sneak in) my trusty Insta360 camera to capture the slide of a lifetime from a third-person perspective.
Here's how it went down, or rather, how it slid down!

Gear up for the adventure

First off, the star of our show is the Insta360 camera. Known for its 360-degree capture capabilities, this little gadget is perfect for those who want to experience life from a new angle.
I chose this camera for its waterproofing without a case and the unique POV it allows, transforming a mundane slide into an artistic masterpiece.

The Slide Experience

The waterpark was buzzing with excitement, and I chose one of the most thrilling slides - a long, twisting tube that promised both fun and a bit of a scare. Here's how the Insta360 camera made this simple slide into a memorable spectacle:

- Third-Person POV: As I slid down, the camera captured not just my journey but the entire slide's inner structure, giving viewers an outside-in perspective. 

Editing and Sharing

Editing was a breeze with the Insta360 app. Here’s what I did:

- Stabilization: The footage was smoothed out, removing any wobble from the camera's mounting point.

- Reframing: I played with different angles, choosing one that highlighted the spiral of the slide.
I could choose front shots and rear shots while I slid down. 

My take

It's extremely hard to get a 3rd person view on those tight waterpark slide. Only the Insta360 camera can make it happen. 
It's waterproof without a case, it is the indispensable way to get those amazing videos, provided the park let's you take videos. 


My Tip

It was of course forbidden to take a camera in the slide, so I did wear shorts with pocket in the side. 
I hid my camera, and took it out once I was inside the tubes! 
This video was shot without a selfie stick or the writst-mount accessory.
